Hello Again!!! me I can't figure out how to get the photos to appear but the links do hopefully work and should Loads easily. (keeping fingers crossed) I love these earrings. They are screw backs with really unusual twisted enameled center. Marked Hand wrought & Sterling, then LEUF in Script. Any ideas would be really great. Thank you IP: Logged |

I'm afraid I have nothing. I don't know "Leuf". The earrings look like ca 1960s American studio jewelry though. IP: Logged |

The closest I have in my US database is Leslie Leupp, born in 1944, who made art jewelry. He has an MFA from Indiana U and in 1973 was a professor at Ball State U. Probably not the same but... IP: Logged |

I have seen a reference for this signature to a "Chicago jeweler, Nita Leuf", but don't know who that is. - rat IP: Logged |

Hi Callie, I saw it on a mod jewelry dealer's website (http://www.modvictoria.com, under new items). For that matter, it looks like the same pair of earrings. I have seen a few other mod pieces marked Leuf on Ebay, so circa 1950's or 1960's seems reasonable. - rat IP: Logged |
