Hello all, I have been collecting silver jewelry for some time now, especially Scandinavian modernist silver jewelry. I have a few pieces in my collection which appear to be Scandinavian modernist from the 1960s-70s era stamped D.S. Handmade Denmark and though I have searched the Internet and a number of books on the subject, I am unable to find any information on this manufacturer or manufacturing company. If anyone knows who or what D.S. is or where I might find some information about this lovely jewelry (most pieces by this designer or company are quite large and weighty and have a biomorphic or organic appearance; use of amethyst, quartz and aventurine stones are also common), please let me know. Thanks and best wishes, Sue IP: Logged |

Could it be Dansk Smykkekunst A/S (Danish Jewelry Art Ltd.) of Brønshøj, Denmark? They began using a "DS" mark in 1973 and are still in business. Their website: [<gone from the internt> dansksmykkekunst.dk/dk/nyheder.htm ] IP: Logged |

Hi blakstone, Thanks for the info., it is entirely possible that this is the company I have been looking for, although the designs don't look very similar we all know designs change with styles and fashions over the years. I think I will contact them and see if they can tell me anything about my jewelry. Thanks and best wishes from Sue Here is an example of a DS Denmark piece:
