"STERLINE" was a tradename used by the James E. Blake Co. on small German silver items, e.g. matchsafes, brooches, etc. Sometimes the name is mistaken for STERLING, even though the pieces are not real silver. The company, located in Attleboro, MA, began to make silver articles about 1889, and the company existed until about 1936. IP: Logged |
