I need some assistance in identifying the maker of a repousse tray I've acquired. There are 2 discernible marks, one being an S K in a rectangular box and the other is 900 also in a box. There are 2 faint impressions directly above these marks that are so worn that they are undecipherable. It looks as though the one above the "900" could be a name in a thin elongated rectangle and the other above "S K" has some sort of image or symbol in a box. The tray is heavy, well made and appears to have age. I thought it may have been a Samuel Kirk piece, but in all my searching I could not find an example of a 900 mark used on any S.Kirk silver (has anyone seen or heard of an example?). I have tried to send photos along (this being my first time doing so I am unsure whether they will go through) Help! IP: Logged |

That definitely isn't a Kirk mark. From the style of both the marks and the piece itself, I'd say this is a 20th-century continental European or possibly Latin American piece. Perhaps someone else will recognize these specific hallmarks. IP: Logged |

Don't recognize the mark, but have run into several teasets and trays with similar styling marked either 900 or 925 PERU. IP: Logged |

I don't think this is American, but Continental. Tardy shows a 900 mark similar to this one for Spain. He also shows a 900 mark for Estonia, but the letter form is different. IP: Logged |
