Spoon marked J. Hall (who I think is the retailer) has a W&H in a rectangle with what looks like a colon after it. I have seen various makers listed as using W&H, but no example with the W&H in a rectangle. Anyone know who this could be? Tks

I'm guessing WOOD & HUGHES, but not 100% sure. IP: Logged |

I would like a clearer closeup of the mark...I'd like to see the colon. IP: Logged |

Wood & Hughes is the leading contender - but I haven't found a similar example listed by a reference site or in my limited book resource. Best pic I could get with my old iphone at this point. IP: Logged |

I suspect the item might be coin silver. Also see: Is this cup by Wood & Hughes? Is it coin? IP: Logged |

I still would like a better closeup so I can rule out a thought. IP: Logged |

I think that's an early Wood & Hughes mark. What does the rest of the spoon look like? IP: Logged |

It's an 8.5" fiddle tablespoon - circa 1840's IP: Logged |
