I recently acquired a silver plated chalice. Marked on the bottom .... F. B. Rogers silverplate Italy. The stem is a grapevine with grapes and leaves. This is not engraved, but molded this way. Does any one have a date of origin and know a collector?

F. B. Rogers is a Taunton, MA, silver company making electroplate--one of the many firms that used the Rogers name in the 19th century. The "Italy" mark on yours suggests that it is a much more recent piece, meaning from the 1960s or later. This kind of outsourcing for plated goods is a typically post-war (WWII) phenomenon.
