I assume you mean a service for 8 in silverplated flatware--and it is most likely from the 1920s or 1930s. I can't help with the pattern, but someone out there on this site seems to have access to pattern names based on the numbers. The numbers are factory numbers and are only useful if you have the factory records somehow. An image of a piece from the set would be helpful, because there are a lot of folks to deal in this stuff and recognize or know where to look up patterns.

I am a bit slow at this, but I can't seem to figure out how get a picture here. They say it is easier than Ebay, I beg to differ. I post there and it is simpler that this forum. Maybe you can help me out there too!

You may e-mail me your photo and I will post it for you.

MSN, your ISP, provides online storage for photos.

The following is from MSN:

quote:
When you add photos to MSN Photos, the photos are copied from your computer to a Web server and stored in a Web folder. MSN Photos provides 30 megabytes (MB) of free storage space for your photos for as long as you remain an active MSN Photos user.

It's easy to add photos from your computer to a Web folder on MSN Photos. Add your photos directly to My Photos or another existing folder, or create a new folder. You can add photos from a variety of sources, such as a digital camera, hard disk, scanner, Zip disk, compact disc, or other media or device. The Storage Meter tells you how much space you have to add photos.

The Upload Tool will display a thumbnail of each photo in a folder, so that you can select and add multiple photos at one time. You can change the titles of your photos, or rotate them, before adding them to a Web folder.

This is the classic "wedding gift" plated tea and coffee set of the 1920s to the 1960s. It is loosely based on neo-rococo designs of the 1880s and 90s (F. B. Rogers was founded in 1883), but is also consciously simplified in design, evoking colonial revival teasets. International Silver was making versions of this kind of thing right into the late 1970s, and Michael C. Fina was promoting them through its retail outlet (it was always a popular prize on The Price is Right and Let's Make a Deal). It could be as early as the 1880s, but it is hard to tell. The tray looks very fancy, and might suggest the set is from the early range.

would it help to tell you the the tray is stamped not engraved? The pattern is barely visable on the under side.

A stamped design would suggest an even later date. Early electroplate of the highest caliber often has a lot of very good handwork on it. Your set looks more and more like a 1920s-50s "bride's" set .
