Rainwater has information about "Hartford Manufacturing Co.", "Hartford Silver Plate Co." and "Hartford Sterling Company". From the marks shown in the book, it seems most likely that you are interested in the "Hartford Silver Plate Co." That company was listed in Hartford directories from 1882-1894. They were absorbed by Barbour Silver Co. in 1893 which in turn became part of International Silver Co. in 1898. I'm not suggesting that the Hartford Silver Co. mark was discontinued in 1893 or in 1898. ------------------ IP: Logged |
