From the little I can find on this company, it seems they were only in existence for a fairly short time, 1832 - 1856. Thank you! Sue IP: Logged

Could this be the retailer? Where did you get your date information and in what country was the fish set made? IP: Logged
suefromoz unregistered	posted 05-13-2002 06:37 AM The set is Sheffield English and I got the only info I could find on the company from a search engine - which referred to Wingfield Rowbotham as existing between 1832 - 1856. The mark on the cutlery is EPNS Wingfield but the full name is on the inside of the lid, so I suppose they could be a retailer. Does that make more sense? Blade makers sometimes plated their steel blades with silver, hence the mark EPNS - Electro plated nickle silver. You may want to check for further marks on the handles or other ornaments if they are silver for evidence of a silver manufacturer, if applicable. IP: Logged
