It is a mark of the Birmingham Silver Co. of Brooklyn, New York and, after 1957, Yalesville, Connecticut. The company was in business from some time before 1957 until at least 1974. Hope this helps! IP: Logged |

I also have a silver footed platter from the Birmingham Silver Company. It is very hard to find any information about this company or items made by them.. I have been searching diligently. Mine does not state that it is silver plate and I believe it is sterling. How can I find out if it is or not.. I read somewhere on the internet that items marked with the crown, BSC and the REG underneath were sterling. HELP?? IP: Logged |
