[01-0911 21-0375] Hello... I have received a question about this mark on some elaborate silver wines and this is the best enhanced image of the mark I have. The owner says this: "C&CO with lines through it, a castle, and the next letter looks as if it is a C and an A combined, the last looks like an F, L and P combined." I'm terrible with old English marks anyway (if that's what this is). Here's the image. TIA and Merry Christmas! IP: Logged |

Looks like it could be a mark of Creswick & Co., Sheffield. I'd guess that the last two letters are EP (electroplate). IP: Logged |

I normally don't pay much attention to plated items, but I saw this on the other forum. I have seen numerous examples of these goblets. Usually in a rather expensive looking case. Very ornate pieces. /They are not Creswick & Co. They are not Sheffield. They are not even English. My guess is these are mass produced in the orient. The quality of the plate, and sub metal is very poor. In short they are junk. Sorry, but the truth sometimes hurts. IP: Logged |

A set if these is listed on that big auction site -- quote: They are silverplate. They have the same mark as posted by bamaj1. Does anyone know anything about "Regal Reproduction" or "Corbell"? IP: Logged |

The firm, based in Los Angeles, is apparently still busy producing reproductions of authentic work: IP: Logged |
