Hello...

I have received a question about this mark on some elaborate silver wines and this is the best enhanced image of the mark I have. The owner says this: "C&CO with lines through it, a castle, and the next letter looks as if it is a C and an A combined, the last looks like an F, L and P combined." I'm terrible with old English marks anyway (if that's what this is). Here's the image. TIA and Merry Christmas!

Looks like it could be a mark of Creswick & Co., Sheffield. I'd guess that the last two letters are EP (electroplate).

I normally don't pay much attention to plated items, but I saw this on the other forum.
I have seen numerous examples of these goblets. Usually in a rather expensive looking case. Very ornate pieces. /They are not Creswick & Co. They are not Sheffield. They are not even English. My guess is these are mass produced in the orient. The quality of the plate, and sub metal is very poor. In short they are junk.
Sorry, but the truth sometimes hurts.

4 SILVER WINE GOBLETS ORNATELY CARVED W/ CASE

Here are 4 gorgeous ornately carved wine goblets in a black case. These are a Regal Reproduction from the collection of Corbell. The piece of paper with it says....About Charles Fox- Silversmith by appointment to Queen Victoria, registered London Silversmiths guild in the year 1835. His skills in the creation and making of cups, goblets etc. has been recognized among the very finest in the early Victorian period. From an original- Heavily chased water or wine goblet. Date 1845 London, England By Charles Fox (reference "Jackson's page 230). The cups are beautiful with grape vines, grapes and little cupid angels that are holding up ribbons and 3 angels that are playing harps etc. I do not know if these are Silver or Silverplate, but the entire outside of the goblet is decorated beautifully. It is 3 1/4" tall and 2" wide. There is a black case that they came in and red velvet that they lay on. The case has a few marks on the outside. Was told these are definitely 30+ years old. These need a cleaning but will leave that to the new owner. Some people like that aged patina. There is an English mark on the bottom like from Queen Victorian era, but I cannot read it.

They are silverplate. They have the same mark as posted by bamaj1.

Does anyone know anything about "Regal Reproduction" or "Corbell"?

The firm, based in Los Angeles, is apparently still busy producing reproductions of authentic work:
