Hmmm, I can't find any American or English marks with a rooster. All kinds of other birds, but no roosters. IP: Logged |

It's not a match for any of the many french rooster marks that I found either... close but not close enough! I'll keep looking. ------------------ IP: Logged |

Just a wild thought, Portugal uses a rooster as a national symbol. Does anyone have a reference book that shows Portugal's marks? IP: Logged |

I have a Tandy's and Portugal is listed, but they're bigger on eagles. There are a few mean looking roosters, but none as pleasant looking as Wev's. This was my first study of the marks from Portugal. They are so much like France's with boar's heads, crabs, bugs, dogs, etc, etc, (and little crowns over letters.) I'd better keep that in mind when I pronounce my finds here as being French. ------------------ [This message has been edited by doobees (edited 04-12-2003).] IP: Logged |
