Obviously EPNS is for Electro Plated Nickel Silver, that is, Silver Plate. Not sure of the maker - vaguely recall that the bumblebee was the mark of the Benedict Manufacturing Company of East Syracuse NY - can anyone confirm? Waylander IP: Logged |

Adelphia Silver Plate Co., NY, NY c1890-1915 used a bee symbol, but I think it was for sterling. Benedict Mfg. Co used a bee on top of a four leaf clover for silver plate and another bee inside a diamond shape, again on top of a four leaf clover. Art IP: Logged |
