[21-0776] I need help finding out information on this hallmark on the back of some silverplate flatware - the picture is a little fuzzy, but this was the best my camera could do on a close-up. Thanks. IP: Logged |

I think it is William Hutton & Sons (W H & S) who also used the cross arrows from about 1900 to 1992. I can't quite see the rest of the marks but they look like those used from 1843 to 1900. The firm was founded in about 1800. They were taken over by James Dixon & Sons in 1930 but continue to trade under their own name up to the present time. IP: Logged |

I can't tell if the "A" is followed by a "1." If so, it confirms that the piece is silver plate. TM IP: Logged |

Thanks, tmockait - yes, there is a "1" after the A. I was taking this picture through a magnifying glass and my camera was having trouble focusing and I didn't capture the entire hallmark. IP: Logged |
