Is "D&A" a name of a shop or a factory? Is "Burmaroid" a name of a country? I can't find the two words in my dictionary. IP: Logged |

In response to your question of last week you were refered to an earlier thread click here (Brazilian silver). There it tells you that: 1) D&A is the Trademark of nickel silver wares maker Daniel and Arter, Birmingham England 2) that "they also used ... Burmaroid and Argenline, among others " .... as ephemisms for nickel silver. You might also call these names brand names like 'Charmin' or 'Kittensoft' is used for toilet paper. You won't find those in the dictionary either. N.B. When you have additional questions on an existing subject you can add them to the existing thread. Please don't start a new one as you did here. I hope this now answers your questions. IP: Logged |
