I have a fork marked Ruolz 7

I have searched and know very little but would be very excited to know if anyone here can provide information on this interesting piece of flatware.

This is from an internet search of “Ruolz metal”.

Ruolz was a name given to some silver plated metals. In 1841 a chemist named Ruolz discovered a way to gild or silver plate objects using silver or gold dissolved in cyanide of potassium. The term is sometimes used to describe an alloy of silver also discovered by Ruolz. Your spoon could either be the alloy form or it may be the silver plated form.

French "metal alliage blanc" mark -- imitation silver? is a previous post on this forum about Ruolz and may also be of interest to you.

Henri de Ruolz’s biography is interesting as he was not only a chemist, but also a composer. <
