[26-1114] I was given a beautiful silver bangle by my grandmother a while ago and I'd like to know who made the piece? It was assayed in Birmingham in 1963 and the makers mark is the letters R and X, with each letter enclosed within a circle. I also have a silver band ring engraved with a continuous pattern, which has the following makers mark - the letters SRC enclosed within a rectangle with rounded corners. The assay and date marks are too small and obscured to read so I cannot give a date. I'd be really grateful for any information on who made these pieces, also can anyone recommend a good book on the subject of makers marks? Thanks IP: Logged |

Welcome to the forum, hope you will stay with us and learn along with me about the joys of silver collecting. It is more helpful if you will post a picture. There is instruction on how to here, just look up towards the top of the main page. I use photo bucket, after I have resized my pictures. IP: Logged |
