[26-2417] Hi again everyone! Just wondering if anyone knows anything about this flatware brand "super inox" that is supposed to be from Italy? I quite like the look of the boxed sets I see around and it looks to be durable, affordable stuff for day to day use. But I`d like to know a little bit more about them if possible. It's always cool to have a story behind a piece I have found one post in the SMP forums about it which answers the question about silver plate, and found lots and lots of misleading information online dating it all the way from 1800s to the 1970s! Also, I see the words "King's Pattern" everywhere. Because I cannot find anymore information on it, I`m even wondering if that was just one guy that wrote that because of the crown symbol and everyone else followed suite. Anyone know anything about this particular set? It doesn't seem very rare judging by the auction sites. I still might get it anyway as there is one up for grabs in a vintage store a few villages away. It also has a hallmark that says AP and a symbol of what appears to be a squiggly lion if that helps identify anything at all! Thanks in advance!! Been enjoying the forums and wishing I could contribute something but WOW do I feel like a n00b!! IP: Logged |

Hi Jinx. Photos are really needed for most any question. They need to include the overall object and closeups of any markings. As you have already found out, this brand seems to be common and the term "inox" is just another word for stainless steel. This particular company seems to have some silver plating on it. If you like the way they look then you should go ahead and buy a set and use it. IP: Logged |
