I believe that I have silverware manufactured by the National Silver Company and I am missing fourteen pieces (three forks, two teaspoons and nine soup spoons). The only
marks that are on the pieces are EXTRAPRIMANS.ALP.

The style I guess is POSY which I got off of the box the remaining pieces were in. The box originally had a set of six, twenty-four pieces.

I would like to see if I can find replacements for the missing pieces so I can have a complete set of twelve placings.

This was my mothers silverware and I would like to complete the set of twelve placings.

If you can help me in my search it would be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,
OLAF C BJORKMAN

I did a quick lookup on National Silver Co. for a pattern called Posy and found nothing. Since it fits well, it is not uncommon for silverware be stored in another manufacturers box. I suggest you post a photo of the pattern and of the marks so we can attempt to properly identify the maker and pattern.

Also, the marks are probably "extra prima ns" (ns meaning nickel silver) and "alp" meaning alpacca, alpaca, or alpacka. It is unlikely that these marks would have been used by an American silver manufacturer.
