I want to identify what a certain hallmark is. D-A= David Andersen 830s + scales = ?????? I am attempting to date a Norwegian silver spoon. It commemorates Halden and has the date 1663 on the handle . Please help IP: Logged |

The D-A plus scales David Anderson mark was first used in 1925 and has been in use ever since. The 1663 date on your souvenir spoon suggests it could have been produced by Andersen for some anniversary of Halden, perhaps the 300 year anniversary in 1963? DA makes very nice silver items and you can find them either in 830 silver or sterling silver which is 925/1000 parts silver. IP: Logged |
