I have a set of sterling spoons. The marks from right to left are: 1)an X inside of a shield, 2) A facing left lion 3) an anchor 4) The letters B.B. over what appears to be the letters S.L.P, the entire 5 numbers inside of a shield. I had a look at the the English Hallmark guide and it appears that the X represents either 1922 or 1947 and the lion combined with the anchor represents the Birminghham assay office. All that remains is to find out what the letters BB over SLP represent. Does anyone know? IP: Logged |
