Hi. I recently acquired a decorative Cigarette Case made in Birmingham, year code 1893/94 and I am trying to identify the makers marks which are "N&H". Any information would be useful. Thanks Brian IP: Logged |

Wyler list the mark as Birmingham for the dates you indicate but does not identify whose initials they are. This may one of those "untraced" makers. Tom IP: Logged |

Most likely Nathan & Hayes (George Nathan & Ridley Hayes). IP: Logged |

PhilO Thanks. Using Nathan & Hayes as a reference, I was able to find two other cigarette cases made by them of a similar vintage (1889 and 1898), one of which is similar in style to mine. Much appreciated. Brian IP: Logged |
