I have a "Teaspoon set" 6 spoons and a "Lemon fork", fork has mother of pearl handle I have determined it's Birmingham (anchor) .925 Silver (Lion) 1920 V with proper sheild, (I think) but I cannot find maker which reads A.J.B. Can someone please help IP: Logged |

Had you thought that your V date letter could be that for 1945, rather than the one for 1920? - I just wondered. The Birmingham firm of A.J.BAILEY & Son of 53 Tenby Street, Birmingham will be your makers - the firm started in the early c.20th and survived into the 1960's making just such pieces as you mention. - A genuine family business which passed through at least three generations of Baileys!
