silde

In the 1920s, the scarab motif enjoyed a revival due to recent discoveries in Egypt. The example pictured here is a circa 1925 ring made of silver, enamel, and marcasite. The ring is unmarked, but likely German. It is a fairly typical example of the type of mass-produced silver and marcasite jewelry hailing from Germany during the period: interesting, but not especially high-quality or original.
