As a child, would become upset as my mother pulled up the Lilies of the Valley that threatened to take over her flower beds. I loved the dainty and fragrant flowers that cheerily rose from the broad, graceful leaves, and was delighted to learn that a May birthdate made it my symbolic flower. These are some examples from my collection, showing the wide variety of Lily of the Valley designs available, there are numerous others, all just waiting to be added in.
Late 19th-early 20th century Norwegian serving spoon by Trondheim silversmith Odin Domaas, engraved with a lovely refrained Lily of the Valley motif.
