An interest in silver flatware started in my teens, I'd pick up interesting serving pieces and spoons, then one day ran across the Watson Floral Series No. 1 spoon on the far right, was very attracted to its fine detailing with the tiny bulb and roots extending slightly into the bowl, it even had an engraved "C" for my first name - I used it daily.
- No maker's mark, but identified as Watson in Turner's American Silver Flatware 1837-1910, and is typical of their production.
- Joseph E. Straker, Jr. design for Watson, the pattern is usually filled with enamel, but this one is crisp and doesn't appear to have been enameled, early 20th century.
- Watson's Floral Series #4, a delicate and well executed design, early 20th century.
- Watson's Floral Series #1, U.S. patent D36385, issued June 30, 1903.
