Stella Popowski mixed metal earrings

Stella (Estela) Popowski (1931-2008) worked as a designer in Mexico for Antonio Pineda and Los Castillo. In her own workshop she designed mixed metal pieces in both traditional and modernistic styles. She relocated to California in the late 1960's and was well known as a painter. These screw back sterling earrings are adorned with inlaid copper fish and brass circles. The earrings are marked with Popowski and the Mexican bell mark used between 1948 & 1980. They are 1 1/8 inch in diameter and weigh .7 avoirdupois ounces.
