I am aware of a few different silver associations/clubs. In New York we have the New York Silver Society. Are there other silver clubs or associations? What do they do? How do we contact them? Please let me know IP: Logged |

I am not sure this is exactly what you are looking for but here a few 'societies' that I have come across that might be relavent. SNAG-Society of North American Silversmith Guild (www.snagmetalsmith.org) The Goldsmiths Directory (www.whoswhoingoldandsilver.com) The Thimble Collectors International (www.thimblecollectors.com) The International Matchsafe Oranization Please feel free to edit post as necessary. I was unsure if web sites were allowed. IP: Logged |

I would mention: The Silver Society of Australia Inc. It publishes a Newsletter every two months. The Newsletter features articles on Australian silversmiths. The Secretary Ron Erratt may be contacted at: Ron.Erratt@novogen.com IP: Logged |

SNAG is Society of North American Goldsmiths. It deals with jewelry and metalsmithing, the latter being a rather vague term. One article in a recent issue of their magazine was about a woman who ran over a bunch of old silverplated items with a road roller and called the resultant mess art. I don't think I'll subscribe.
