Can you give me information on the Poole Silver Co? I'm looking at a sterling tea service by that co. and would like to know more. Thanks! IP: Logged |

Pool Silver Co. began 1893 in Taunton, Massachusetts as a manufacturer of silver plated flatware. In 1946 the company was sold and a sterling department was added. Then in 1971 the company was purchased by Towle Mfg. Co. IP: Logged |

Just to add a bit, most of the Poole sterling I have seen is of good quality. I believe they made some interesting modern designs, which would be the most desirable today. As manufacturers, they are little appreciated, but their silver is as good as most. IP: Logged |
