Several years ago I bought some antique Puiforcat sterling in Paris, in the Marais District, about 10 place settings. I believe it is pre-1900. It has a lovely swan pattern. I have not been able to find anyone who can identify it. It might be Emile Puiforcat. Does anyone know how to identify it? I have showed it to a number of people and would write to the Puriforcat factory if I could find them. Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks. IP: Logged |

Sounds as if you have some lovely flatware. Can you provide photos of the pattern and the marks on the pieces? This will help with identification. IP: Logged |

For any of our interested forum participants in Tokyo, the Tokyo Metropolitan Teien Art Museum is hosting an exhibition on Puiforcat until December 1, 2002. Here is a link to more information. Teien Art Museum As a further note, Puiforcat became part of the Hermes Group in 1993. IP: Logged |
