On occasion I see a piece of old slver that has been lacquered some time in its life. There always seems to be a place where the lacquer has worn off, usually near an edge, and the silver underneath has tarnished. This is usually made worse by people, over the years, rubbing at the lacquer to try and "shine up" the silver underneath. The questions is: How do you take the damn stuff off? I have finally broken down and bought a nice piece of lacquered silver—and I want it off, all off. Any recommendations (of a non-invasive nature)? IP: Logged |
