I have a fork, Continental in markings (as yet unidentified), whose use I could use help with. It has tines like a tomato fork, with barbed ends on the outside tines,but is the size of a dessert fork.

Sorry, can't do a photo right now (camera is still on the fritz and I'm researching new ones).

This sounds like a fish fork. The barbs are for scraping meat off of bones. Very useful in flaking boney fish.
