I've inherited a pair of silver sugar tongs dated 1876/7, London. The makers mark is as follows: TH

Any ideas who this might be?

Assuming the date is right, the best candidate for your tongs is one THOMAS HALL.
He was the London agent for the (huge) Sheffield manufacturers Hawksworth Eyre & Co.
Fron 1873 he has his own business in London and was responsible for many pieces of 'retail' goods being marked in London (Wedding present things, often in presentation cases - your tongs may well have started out in a presentation case along with six or twelve teaspoons!!)
