I have a 12-inch round silver server with scalloped edges with the name "A DEMAFFEY" on the back. I've been unsuccessful finding out any information about the silversmith and would appreciate any help. Thanks. IP: Logged |

The only reference to A Demaffey on the internet I can find is for a French businessman who was in Geneva in the 19th century: Demaffey, Augustin; 45; Négociant; Mens (France); 28 mars; 1828; Genève Could your piece be French, possibly retailed by this man? Are there any other marks or features which might indicated where and when your piece originated? IP: Logged |

Thank you for your information. There are no other markings other than, in all caps, A DEMAFFEY. The piece could very well be French. It's actually lovely and I'll see if I can post an image of it. Thank you again. IP: Logged |
