I found what I think is a winslow silver box. It is ingraved "Christmas 1905". The mark on the bottom is a spider web with the initial "W" in the middle of it.. also numbered to the left of this hallmark is the number 3. Below the hallmark is the number 341. Is this in fact Winslow and if not, does anyone know?? IP: Logged |

Hi there, Is the "W" in a star? If so, the maker is probably E.G.Webster & Son of New York. If the piece has no markings indicating that it's sterling, it is most likely silver plate. I'm not familiar with Winslow as a silver manufacturer, have seen the name relating to coin silver and as a pattern name from different makers. Cheryl IP: Logged |
