Hello! I hope that put in right forum this question. When person make appraisal of silver in the US, which one is more prestigious? American Society of Appraisers or International Society of Appraisers? Or maybe exist another group that is better? Thank you! Francesca IP: Logged |

ISA & AAA are both good. There is also ASA. My personal experience is largely with AAA and some with ISA. Many of the certified silver appraisers are members of two or more associations. Please remember anyone can hang out an appraisal sign. New appraiser members are not necessarily experienced in silver (or anything in particular). A new appraiser should have a basic understanding of the fundamentals of USPAP. Even so, it is important to verify their experience/training and to get references. Depending on what it is you want appraised, you may want to consider only using a certified appraiser who’s speciality is silver. IP: Logged |
