Coming in late to this thread, but I can add regarding the little box that I agree that it is silver gilt and not gold. The "kokoshnik" (lady's head mark) would date it to 1908-1926. The mark behind her head appears to be the Greek "delta", which would indicate that it was made (or at least assayed) in Moscow. If so, then I feel confident the maker's mark is H.A, (N.A, transliterated from the Cyrillic) and therefore that of Nikolai Vasilevich Alekseyev, working Moscow ca. 1885 and into the 20th century.
