[01-2273] I suspect this is relatively modern - perhaps even post-Communist, and comes from Russia, Poland etc. Can anyone help with more precise information? Many thanks!

The spoon is from Poland and bears the hallmarks used today. The mark on the small foto could be the mark of GDANSK (Danzig), a town where the Polish amber manufacturing center is. The mark on the bigger photo is the hallmark/assay mark of Warszaw for the silver content 925/1000. For better understanding I enclose this hallmark.
Hope that helps IP: Logged |

Correction If the letter in the hallmark is a G, than it is not Warsaw but Gdansk. IP: Logged |

Very many thanks! Do you have any idea how long the current Polish marks have been in use? IP: Logged |

Patrick, Where is the mark that you show in the separate small picture. It's puzzling to have on a single little spoon
