During June and July, a number of our Silver Salon Forum members worked together in the private Silver Salon Forums on an article about pseudo hallmarks that appears in the September/October issue of Silver Magazine. Our kudos go to swarter, blakstone, wev and Silver Lyon for a job well done. Pseudo hallmarks are a source of great confusion for silver newcomers as well as more seasoned silverphiles. This article along with swarter's FAQ on British Irish silver is a good start to understanding the complexity of marks.
