I have an idea I'd like to float..... it will require a lot of help. Since 1999, on the forums there has been an abundance of "Who made this?" & "Who's mark?" questions and a general sharing of marks found. I am thinking it would be helpful if we created a web page(s) of marks found on the Silver Salon Forums and to provide links to the threads where there is relevant discussion. Sort of an visual marks index of SSF marks & discussion. Exactly how to best organize this project is still unclear. Because the effort will be immense, it is important that I (and any volunteers) need to understand whether such an effort would be helpful to members? How should it be organized? Etc.? Members insights, suggestions & input would be appreciated. IP: Logged |

Great idea! Another advantage is that it would be highly visible to search engines, so help people who do not normally visit our site, including those of a different viewpoint - especially geneologists - who can often add derails not known to us. IP: Logged |

1. Public Silver Forums (open Free membership) - anyone with a valid e-mail address may register. Once you have received your Silver Salon Forum password, and then if you abide by the Silver Salon Forum Guidelines, you may start a thread or post a reply in the New Members' Forum. New Members who show a continued willingness to participate, to completely read and abide by the Guidelines will be allowed to post to the Member Public Forums. 2. Private Silver Salon Forums (invitational or $ donation membership) - The Private Silver Salon Forums require registration and special authorization to view, search, start a thread or to post a reply.
