While trying to find out more about Whiting's Commodore Cup, I found several more interesting yachting trophies in the Mystic Seaport Rosenfeld Collection of photos. Most of the trophy photos do not identify the trophy maker . Here are a few examples: IP: Logged |

The third photo with the two tars is the Cape May Challenge Cup made by Tiffany & Co. IP: Logged |

The first is "Yacht" and is marked on the base "Tiffany & CO/7891 M 4766/STERLING," and inscribed in a cartouche on the stern "The Goelet Cup for Schooners 1884" and on the open book on the stern "Won by Grayling" New York Yacht Club, New York City. IP: Logged |

Is number 2 by Gorham? I really like that one! IP: Logged |

I don't recall. Originally it was found on the Mystic Seaport Rosenfeld Collection of photos site. Now it doesn't show up search trophy IP: Logged |

Number 2 might be a navy ships mess punch bowl and probably Gorham, my guess... IP: Logged |
