Recent Postings which appear to have breached the rules on no pre auction research remind me of a time a while back when it was possible to track any given members bids on Ebay . One guy, who shall be nameless , often appeared on lots I was bidding on, even if there was only minutes to go and I thought known I was the only what they really were. My wife and I realized he was actually dogging me , and he either outbid, or forced my price up. A real pain in the financial bottom . Three lots , put up by my wife with a goofy description, got him to bid against me to way over their value. He never dogged me again . IP: Logged |

I am more upset by the unethical behavior of people who abuse the forum that the financial, but I am not a high bidder for silver. Using infomration freely given by experts, some of whom make their living in the business of silver, for personal gain is a form of stealing! It may not be a violation of law, but it is still wrong. Everyday there are thousands of visitors at the SSF. I believe the relatively rare and occasional abuser is unavoidable. Sometimes the abuse is because the Newbie just dove in assuming this is just like all the other Internet forums. They soon learn it is a different kind of forum. Usually this type of poster is obvious. To everyone's credit, when this happens you all are polite and attempt to coach the newbie into becoming a good SSF member. Other abusers are intentionally deceitful and in such cases every one of us is polite and firm but we rarely take prisoners. It is a credit to everyone's diligence that we see so little of this type of abuse. I am very proud of our memberships civility when such abuse does happen. IP: Logged |
