[26-1822] Does anyone recognize this "no return" stamp? I have a bowl which is either sterling or silver plated. The only mark on the bowl is a stamp on the inside bottom which says "no return". I would appreciate any information on what this mark means and if the bowl is sterling or silverplate. Thanks in advance!

I do not recognize the mark and hopefully someone will, but it reminds me of the markings some manufacturing companies apply to their factory seconds so the buyer will not come back to the company and say something is wrong and ask for a new one or for it to be repaired at the company's expense. Perhaps it has something to do with auction? When a item is sold no return after the sale? [This message has been edited by silverhunter (edited 03-16-2009).] IP: Logged |
