Scott thanks for showing these copies. I did not realize that the Patent Office still had paper copies for the public to review. I was a Patent Examiner from 1963 to 1965 and we had “shoes” that contained hard copies of patents (Small boxes just big enough to hold a three inch stack of paper copies of issued patents). Our review of the prior art was simply to flip through these copies and pick out any that seemed relevant to the application. It was amazing to me how quickly one became adept at picking out significant references simply by looking at a schematic diagram. IP: Logged |
