[01-3063] Here's a mystery for you silver sleuths. It's a tiny tongs with gilded, perforated balls as tips. It takes some effort to hold it closed--it wants to spring open--so it would make an inconvenient tea ball, besides being too small for more than a doll's cup of tea. Marked STERLING and with the Reed & Barton mark. What's it for?

It's for verrrrrry dry martinis -- you grab one of those vermouth cured olives and swirl it through the gin just once. Eat the olive, drink the gin. Repeat as needed. IP: Logged |
