I posted this picture hoping someone could help me help my friend with the use of this tray which measures 10.5" X 7" X .375". Any thoughts on it's use? It has beautiful birds and faces! It's a great piece Thanks for any help and hope I posted the picture correctly! Use the new image hosting and found it very easy! IP: Logged |

William Comyns & Sons were prolific makers of dressing sets - brushes, mirrors, unguent pots, etc. This tray would almost certainly have been part of such a set for the lady owner to put on her dressing table to hold all of her various requisites such as the aforementioned brushes, etc., hair pins, creams and powders. Great tray that is almost to pretty to put anything on. The faces would be a good addition to the Great Faces thread. IP: Logged |

@ahwt. Perhaps Scott will move it to the "great faces" thread! I didn't even think about posting it there! @dragonflywink. Thank you for the pic of another tray and the description it offered and PRICE! WOW! 😊 IP: Logged |
