A study reported in the UK journal "Flavour" showed that diners in a test thought food tasted better when they used heavy cutlery ("it has been demonstrated that the weight of the eating utensils can influence the perceived value of the food...Furthermore, the colour of the cutlery that we use to eat with has also been shown to alter the perception of certain attributes of taste" So use your silver or gold flatware and enjoy life more. The study is here: Cutlery matters: heavy cutlery enhances diners’ enjoyment of the food served in a realistic dining environment IP: Logged |
