A few years ago, someone posted a patent for a pair of 19th c novelty earrings, each showing a plate with a spoon on it, and by some extraordinary coincidence, I actually own a pair of those earrings. Can anyone help me find the thread? It's not showing up in a search. The earrings are from around the 1880s, I believe. They're made of gold-filled metal and silver (possibly low-grade). I've searched for various combinations of patent, earring, earrings, spoon, plate, gold filled--all to no avail. Thanks, silver friends! IP: Logged |
