In this crazy transitory immediate gratification millennial focused world, I've noticed lately a few instances of new silver items being brought to market and maybe it is hopeful. Asprey just came out with their 2017 Holiday gift catalog and it includes a luggage motif sterling tea set, cute sterling egg cups with chicken feet, a sterling stag head champagne cooler and a sterling rocket cocktail shaker. Los Angeles designer Sophia Buhai just introduced a sterling baby gift line in addition to her sterling jewelry line. Maybe it is a start. We just need Kim Kardashian to take a selfie while holding a Birds Nest nut pick and antique silver will rise from the ashes. All kidding aside, it is reassuring to see new and interesting silverware! IP: Logged |
