In 2018, the Silver Salon Forums will mark their 25th anniversary - quite a milestone. Any ideas on what we should do to celebrate? IP: Logged |

How did it take six years for me to find you? Oh, right, no internet access. No clever thoughts, I am afraid. IP: Logged |

I think a gathering of the clan would be in order! IP: Logged |

We know of a small party space which we can reserve for free (plus a damage deposit) in NYC. Any catering or beverages, dishes, glassware, etc. would have to be arranged separately (or we could do BYOB & potluck)...this is just a seed of an idea, perhaps someone could suggest something better. Also there are the up and coming Miami Antique shows & next year's Baltimore show which might be good to coordinate an gathering around. IP: Logged |

I'm up for NYC pot luck! We should all bring our own spoons. IP: Logged |

Our membership is spread all over the world..... I like the idea of finally getting to meet our members but I expect we all won't travel for a party. I also suspect some of the membership will want to remain anonymous..... BTAIM, I suspect there are areas/regions of membership concentration where members would like to get together (i.e., NY, NJ, CT/tri-state, Boston, California, UK, Germany, etc.). Here's a very rough idea. Members in a particular area who want to host/arrange a gathering should do so. If we can coordinate the various gatherings such that they all happen at the same date/time, I think we could video conference the various gatherings into one event. Today, since so many devices are equipped with a camera this should be possible depending on the video conferencing supplier's device requirements (costs). IP: Logged |
